Every year a “News Commentary” competition is held for students to enhance their critical thinking on social issues. This year, students were asked to write on ways to prevent global warming. All the forms took part in the competition. Senior form students were asked to write an essay on it and they had expressed their deep concerns on global warming and wrote down many ways to prevent and control the effects of this issue in their essays. A simple format was designed for the junior form students so that they could write on the issue too. Essays were carefully marked for each class and then 4 writings were selected to receive prizes and certificates. This is a great way to keep students up to date with current affairs.
